Glass Cats |
|
Hey Folks,
Got a few new Florida fish here today, and quite a bit more coming in tomorrow. Got some fancy new severums today, and a bunch of nice bushynose tomorrow.
I have more glass cats in here than I've seen in years. I'm not sure that it's enough to go around but I have a better chance of filling these on orders than anytime in the last couple of years. Some other new imports include brichardis (very small), gold honey gouramis, kribs, gold kribs, kuhli loaches, and 2" snow white discus (a little undersized).
New guppies that look good include white dumbos, lemons, red cobras, midnight, tricolor dumbos, and pink tux.
Red-spot rainbow severums are new. This is a selectively bred high-red strain. Probably some efasciatus somewhere in it's background as well as the decades old 'Florida green severum' which is likely a mish-mash of things that all used to be considered the same fish. Whatever you call it, it's a really pretty aquarium strain fish. I also have some gold severums (they're cheap), some red-spot turqs, and some red-spot golds. Firemouths are also in stock and very acceptable.
Bushynose are coming in tomorrow. I have Florida-bred super-reds in a couple sizes, lemondrops and longfin lemondrops, and bigger than usual small and medium standard bushynose.
A few other fish that looked good in today's walkthrough include red-gold Florida guppies, black panther Synos, new lemon tetras, gold honey gouramis, black neons (very limited this week), but serpaes, red and white lionheads, mango plecos, and new albino red dragon peacocks.
There's another USARK-FL fundraiser auction this weekend. There were some incredibly cool items on the last one, including a Fly River turtle if I remember right (these are like freshwater sea turtles). Check out the link here to register, and who to contact in you have anything to donate.
Please give a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Sorry if you missed out on the Pipa pipa Surinam toads. Working getting more.
Jumping spiders are in stock this week. Jumping spiders as pets make about as much sense to me as Pokémon but they always sell. They are really neat, and I have nothing against spiders, just seems like a lot of expense for something with a short shelf life. Having said that, I've seen plenty of neat set-ups for these spiders, and clearly there are people willing to pay for the spiders, enclosures, etc.
Some other highlights include baby and juvenile corn snakes, albino emoryi, West African sand boas, viper boas, bearded dragons, veiled chameleons, crested geckos and ornamental baboon spiders.
Please join USARK-Florida, even if you're not a Florida resident or business. Membership is free and you can sign up here: USARK-FL Membership. |
