Thanks to everyone that stopped by Super Zoo!  We always try to make sure to have great looking fish you maybe haven't tried before while also being realistic with what we bring.  Every fish we had at this show is something you could buy from Nautilus off our list, or something we could get for you in a couple weeks if they're not currently in stock!
Current customers can order here at Nautilus Wholesale

    News & New Items
    Hey folks,

Hope we saw you at Super Zoo!  it's always great putting faces to a name and catching up, so we appreciate anybody that came by, checked out our fish, and talked about the industry for a little bit.  If you didn't make it out, I hope you'll consider coming to the next big show, Global Pet Expo next spring in Orlando!

Dave is still out at the show today as this gets typed up, and Nick started his vacation, so I'm all alone in the office today making this and getting everything done, so this will be a more abbreviated email than normal, but I'll definitely at least get pictures of all the new stuff for the week so you can see the current stock.

Speaking of new stuff, Colombia has some goodies for us this week!  We got the biggest Silver Arowanas I've seen come through in my time working here,  They're far from cheap, but they're about as big as you're goign to be able to find wholesaler anywhere.  The freight to ship these up from Colombia at that size is the big factor in the price, and we only have a couple of them, so jump on it if you're interested.  I'm sure there are some maintenance companies out there that have clients looking for large Arowana that pay you $200 to come scrub the glass and do a water change on their 500 gallon custom tank in their mansion on the lake, and they'll pay whatever you tell them the fish is going to cost.

Also new from Colombia, "Iguana" Tetras are back!  We've only had these one time before, and it was over a year ago.  These are a really cool, larger tetra (about 2 inches already) and are a great schooling fish for someone looking for something out of the ordinary.  Also called the "green line lizard tetra" because they have a green and an orange stripe that run down the side of the body.  They sort of remind me of a Hemiodus, but much much hardier.  I think last time we brought them in they held up really well and we only lost a handful over the several weeks they were here.

We also got new small Peacock Bass!   These will definitely be the most popular thing from Colombia this week.  They're very reasonably priced and extremely popular.  We got a pretty good number, but it wouldn't absolutely shock me if we did sell out this week, so don't expect to skip this week and get them next week, it's gambling.

Plenty of absolutely incredible cichlids are still in stock, for every price range and budget.  From the medium EB Johannis up to the XL show quality peacocks and haps, we've got FL bred beautiful cichlids for your price point you want to hit.

Reach out to your rep if you have any questions.

We still have a few of these large-sized Red Spot Gold Severums in stock for sale this week!  About 6 inches.
    Every Day Low Prices
    (EDLP)
Don't forget about our Every Day Low Price Specials!  Running all summer long, we have the following 10 fish on a crazy discount for you.  Use this unchanging group of the most popular special fish to run your own BOGO sales or whatever you need to do to get people in the door or get big sales in this slower Summer part of the year.

    White and Black Skirt Tetras
    Neon Tetras
    Algae Eaters
    Veil Bettas
    Reg Mix Angelfish
    Red Fantails
And assorted Platies, Mollies, and Swordtails!
    GloFish®
    New from Colombia!
Iguana "Green Laser" Tetra are super cool and only the second time importing them!  Great size for a schooling community fish and have a very attractive color down the sides too.
Marbled Hatchets are back for the first time in a long long while.   These are probably the LEAST hardy fish we bring in from Colombia, so full disclosure up front, there's a decent chance we end up not selling them to anybody this week for health reasons.  But we do have them!
Banjo Cats have been out of stock for the summer but they're back!
Big Silver Arowanas!  Have 3 only, roughly a foot long, maybe slightly longer.  it's hard to tell since they won't sit still and quit flopping around to measure them accurately.
Peacock Bass are back at the regular size!  Sure to fly out of here, so don't snooze on them this week.  Big enough to eat small feeder guppies no problem.  Will also take small chopped up frozen food if you have some flow in the tank to keep it moving.
Flagtail Prochilodus are restocked.  The list is going to say we have 2 sizes.  Pretty sure that's not right and we only have the 5 inch.  That's fine though because the 5 inch is listed for cheaper than the 4 inch were anyway, so even if you get one you think is slightly undersized, you're still technically getting a better deal by ordering the 5 inch.
Agassizzi Cory cats are here, and for what it's worth I think they look better than the far more popular Julii Cory.  These have some nice green in them instead of just black and white.
    Old World Cichlids
The above 4 photos are representations of the "XL Peacock" (sku #60303).  These are some of the most impressive fish I've ever seen come through the doors, and you won't want to miss out on these.  Honestly, the price isn't even that bad considering how incredible and show stopping these are.  Basically fully grown, and in full color while also being less common color morphs like those solid yellow OB's.  Beautiful.
    Medium Borleyi Redfin Haps
Medium Snow White Socos are super crisp solid white fish that look fantastic.  Much cooler than albino fish, there's something about how absolutely purely white they are.
    Community Standouts
Big Gold barbs are restocked this week.  These always go immediately on Monday, and the breeder rarely has more to restock us with mid-week, so order early if you're into these.
8-9CM Calico Ryukin Goldfish are very nice, definitely the best looking Goldfish here this week.  These imported Ryukins are much nicer than the domestic Fantails.
Gold Twinbar Platy are exceptionally bright
Opaline Gourami restocked at the end of the week and actually came in good size.  Blues are MUCH smaller right now, so definitely go with opaline instead.
    Gold Dojo Loaches are back.
Black Phantoms are back and every bit as nice as they were a couple weeks ago when they were in stock.
Orange Von Rio Tetras are MUCH better than the normal Von Rios (which are brown).
    Some other cool stuff
Knight Gobies are back in stock.  Very cool bottom dwelling fish from Asia.
5 Inch Trimac Cichlids are restocked.  This is just about the largest size you can go on these without it being a complete requirement that they're housed individually.  You should be able to keep these in a well-decorated tank with other similarly sized cichlids while you sell them, just keep an eye on the aggression.
Black Widow Frontosas are back in stock.  We also have plenty of standard Frontosa and Red Frontosas to go along with them if you want to carry all the types.
Cool Rare Cichlids That Went To SuperZoo. We Can Usually Get if You Want
We brought in a lot of really cool stuff for Super Zoo, and honestly this is stuff we can get every couple of weeks if there's demand for it.  We're just really not sure if there are enough of you out there that are wanting to pay for this sort of high-end and larger sized cichlids.  Let your rep know if you're interested in anything and we can get you a price.  A few of these do actually have a fish or two available currently, because we're not taking 100% of everything we brought in to the show.
Albino Trewavassae are usually available.  These cost MUCH more than a normal mbuna though, because you have to produce 150  fish to end up with a handful that are actually albino.  But if you've got customers that want cool looking mbuna they've never seen for sale at other shops before, here's a great candidate.
Albino Taiwan Reef are something we can get, both in large males like this or the regular sized young.
Cyprichromis.  One of my personal favorite groups of cichlids, they're almost literally just freshwater Anthias.  Incredibly cool.  But they only produce a few babies at a time, and they're in high demand so they're not cheap.
We can get either adult or regular sized Lelupi pretty much any time.  regulars aren't too expensive, but adults like these will not be cheap. .
Large sized Calvus/Comprecciceps are something we can usually get, but the price keeps us from trying them.  Maybe there's stores out there that are looking for high end stuff like this though, so let us know if you're interested (These cost more than a large show quality peacock or hap)
One of our sources has one of the best quality lines of Lemon Jakes I've seen anywhere.  We can get these for you, but they're not going to be "normal" medium peacock price.  We feel like most stores don't want to pay extra for "AAA" grade fish with the best possible genetics, but maybe we're wrong.  Let us know!
Same breeder has some absolutely incredible albino jakes too.  The streamers on the fins on these are just incredible.  Taking this one to the show, but we can bring them in the future if you're looking for better quality albinos like this.
