    News & New Items
    Hey Everyone,

This is going to be a little bit different format email, let us know how you like it compared to what we normally do please!   Instead of putting a paragraph or two typed up then just a bunch of captioned photos, I'm putting what I want to say about the fish in the photos in the captions.  I honestly think this format might be more desirable to most people that want to just scroll for pics and then read the relevant info about the fish they see.  I'm changing it up today because our office admin girl that creates the stocklist for us is out sick, and we still had this entire email to do today as well, so this will be a little quicker for us while I believe still getting across all the important info you need about what looks best here right now!

We did get a decent number of new fish this week that we haven't had in a long, long time, so it's been pretty exciting the last couple weeks here with Brazil last week and now some new Discus and Tiger Datnoids!   The Tiger Dats have been probably 2 or 3 years since last time you've seen them on our stocklist, and I've been checking out other wholesalers when I can and haven't seen them often on anyone else's lists either.  Before you ask, no, these are not the Siamese Tiger Dats that are worth hundreds and hundreds of dollars that you're getting a rediculous deal on.  We order them from our Indonesian supplier, and they appear to have 4 or 5 bars on all of them, they all look extremely similar to the one pictured.  These are kept in full freshwater, and in the past we've never kept them in brackish water and they always did perfectly fine, so these should hold up just as well.  They're not aggressive fish but will eat smaller tankmates they can swallow whole.

We got 2 or 3 new types of discus this week as well!  A larger size of pigeon blood with a really nice large blotch pattern, as well as a couple new colors of smaller guys we've never had before.  The "purple" discus are not really like a lavender purple, and I'm not sure what they're going to look like when they grow up, it's the first time we've had them and they're quite small right now so no color yet.  Should be fun to see what they turn into.  The other new one are the Red Eagle discus, which are one of my personal favorite types of discus.  Look up pics of adults on google, they're stunning.  The fish we got are again small inexpensive ones, so they don't look like that at all yet, but the potential is there!

Lots of Florida fish are still coming in really nice size, and some barbs are probably world-record size.  It's a great time to be stocking up on the bread and butter that keeps the doors open and you make all your profit margin on.

Give your rep a call if you have any questions!

Red Pigeonblood Discus came in super nice.  3 inches, and have nice big blotches like this.  We have several other discus available in good quantity, however the other types are smaller than these (and less pricey).
Large Figure 8 Puffers are amazing!  Basically full-grown with bright color.  Watch your fingers, this guy bit the crap out of me after I took the picture.

    Tetras & Characins
Serpae Tetras got bigger again this week
Silvertip Tetras are big and nice.  Great schooling fish, males have orange colored bodies with white fin tips that look great in a big school.  Order 50 and you won't regret it.
Rummynose look better than I think I've ever seen before.  Nice bright noses so they must be pretty happy in our 8.4PH with hardness off the chart Florida groundwater.
Ember are a nano tetra that are coming in full grown and super bright.  The best looking small red fish we have right now.
Male Congo Tetra look fantastic.  Full color showing already
Candy Cane Tetras are a little on the small side, but that shouldn't stop you from getting them, they're always one of the most popular tetras in the hobby.  They'll look fantastic once they're only a tiny bit bigger and the red color comes in.
Flagtail Prochs are on special this week for a MASSIVE price drop!  They're so excited to meet you, and they're ready for a smooch, as you can see

    Barbs & Other Cyprinids
Large tiger barbs are absolute beasts.  I think after work today I'm going to come back and go fishing in the large tiger tank, they look like they'd put up a great fight on some ultralight tackle (I'm kidding, Dave, please don't fire me)
Cherry Barbs got nice and big again this week.  Both normal and veiltail cherries are this size currently, making them great inexpensive bread and butter pickups.
Red Glass barbs are another FL-bred barb running big.  The females still look great on these, since they're yellowish instead of brown like on rosy barbs.   They're pretty close to 50/50 ratio in the tank here.
"Chili Rasbora".  Another reminder, when we buy Chili Rasbora from the exporter, they could ship one of 5 different species.  They're not usually the Briggitae that you're expecting.  For example, this week I THINK they are Urophthalmoides.  They'll look better than this once they settle in, but they won't be as extremely bright red as the best looking google pics of Briggitae.

    Livebearers
Assorted swordtails are a nice mix of a lot of really cool looking types.  Not many bright red fish, if that's what you're looking for, but have some red tux, some black/green, and some panda looking ones in the mix.
White Dumbo Guppy are absolutely beautiful.  Although the name should probably be "gold" dumbo since they're actually a nice bright yellow color.
Gold Dust Molly are an above average size sphenop-type (not a sailfin).  They are pure freshwater, unlike sailfin types that need some salt, so they should hold up a lot better for you than if you buy dalmation, or creamsicle, or gold, or green mollies.

I don't think we've ever featured a pic of female guppies before, but this week they came in very nice size.  Hopefully that continues into next week with Sunday's restock.

    New World Cichlids
Flowerhorns are freshly imported and look pretty good!  Lots of blue in this batch, not as much red, so sort of the reverse of usual.  When they're small like this (2-2.5 inch) you can keep them together without  problem at all, so you an stock a tankful of them
Green severums are way oversized and.  Super great value on them right now.  These are Florida bred fish.
Balloon Ram Cichlids are super bright and nice!  We're out of normal rams at the moment so these are the perfect substitute.
Carpintis Medium are the best value CA Cichlid on the list by a long shot.  They're inexpensive, and perfect young adult size with full color.  They're all in a tank together to the tails are a little rough on some, but that doesn't hurt the fish at all, and it will look find in a week or two after you get them.  These are a fairly aggressive fish, so they do best as the only Carpintis in the tank.
Medium mix oscar (above) and small mix oscar (below).  As you can see, there's not a big size difference, but there's a massive price difference, so just buy the smalls.
You probably want to skip the jack dempseys this week. They're really small.

    Old World Cichlids
Red Nyereri cichlids are mixed sex.  The males are fantastic, tons of nice green and red color, and the females are big enough I'm shocked they're not holding eggs
Rusty Cichlids are a fairly uncommon mbuna that's been out of stock for a while until recently.  If you want to spice up your mixed mbunas on offer, grabbing 6 or 12 of these and adding them to your mix to get more variety would be a great idea.

    Catfish and Loaches
Plenty of gold nuggets still in stock!  These are the most popular pleco for a good reason, they look phenominal.  Just don't forget to feed them some blood worms when you turn the lights out, they can't live off only algae.
Iriri Pleco are very similar to gold nugget, but have slightly more yellow on the fins sometimes and have slightly larger spots sometimes.  Honestly, they're interchangeable, order one or the other or both, they're all nice.
I'm pretttyyyyyy sure that the Blue Phantom plecos are legit smaller than some of the biggest Otocinculus.  I've never seen them this small before.  Get green phantoms instead if you want a phantom pleco.
Sorry for blurry pic, but this is the L114, taken from above the water.  Once you take them out of the water they lose their color so tried to get a better representative pic so you can see their awesome pattern and the red tail.
Redtail Cats are pretty decent this week.  They will be a little skinny when you get them because in the time it takes to purge them for shipping, they get skinny.  They have an insane metabolism when they're small.  You need to feed them 2 or 3 times a day and they'll be 6 inches in a month.
Skunk Cory are great size and looking active and healthy.
Agassizzi Cory are probably actually Sodalis like usual, but whatever species they are, they look great.  They're schooling well, shooting from one side of the tank to the other, looking really healthy.  Uncommon for wild cory cats

    Other Fish & Stuff
Dwarf Neon Rainbows are finally nice enough to recommend as one of the best rainbows this week.  One of the best things about this species is that the females and males are both very similarly colored.  Females have more of an orange color in the fins instead of the deep red of the males, but the blue body is the same.
Flagfish came in super nice.  These are one of the best fish for eating hair algae, and are cold tolerant to a decent degree so they're perfect for outdoor ponds or tubs algae control.
Kuli Loaches are back.  The list says "large" because that's what our supplier calls them, but they're normal sized kuli loaches.  Solid size but not big.
These are the 10-11CM Orandas.  As you can see, they don't have big oranda-like heads, but the color variety is pretty decent this week!
Gold Algae Eaters are not very gold, but they ARE quite big!  I think maybe they just always get more brown the larger they get.  These are at least twice the size they normally arrive, so great value for you this week!

    INVERTS
Black Bee Shrimp and the similar looking red crystal shrimp are both true caradina types that we have right now.  Honestly other than those, we don't have many shrimp available this week. Blue diamonds are nice as always.

    Saltwater Corals
The Saltwater stock-list gets sent out on MONDAY afternoon.

In saltwater, we offer tons of top-of-the-line corals.  If you need really nice frags to sell for $10-15, we've got you covered.  If you want a $400 show piece unique Australian brain corals, we've got that too.  Tons of the coral frags are aquacultured in-house and are named lineage pieces of various SPS and LPS.  Import frags that are MADE in-house are also available, and are great options to get slightly bigger pieces that customers want like torches, hammers, blastos, acans, zoas, etc.
