Hey Everyone,
This is likely going to be the best week for new and exciting incoming fish that we've had so far this year. There's a lot of awesome stuff that's already here, and on top of that we have the first Brazilian import in over a year on our truck on it's way back from Miami right now. So unfortunately, we don't have pictures of those fish yet, but keep an eye out for the Monday email, where we will highlight all of those!
From Brazil, it's pretty much all the fancy plecos that everyone's been asking for all year long. Brazil has been shut for export, their fish and wildlife folks have been refusing to write export permits, so no fish from Brazil have legally come into the US in quite a while now. But we've got all 3 types of Gold Nuggets arriving, along with Mango's, L14 Goldie's, L24 Red Cactus, Redtail Blue Eye's, and 2 or 3 more types I'm forgetting. We also have some Yellowtail Barracuda that should be really cool from Brazil as well.
Colombia this week had some excellent fish as well, including the OTHER color Freshwater Barracuda so we'll have both red tail and yellow tail this week after having neither for a long, long time. Jaguar Duckbill Unicorn Wood Catfish are back as well, and are always popular. These are by far the best looking wood catfish species in the world, with a crisp pure white background and neat black patterning on top of it. The fish we used for the photo is honestly below average, a lot of them are much nicer, but we always try to use a "middle of the road" photo so you're not disappointed if we show a picture of the BEST one and then only one store ends up with that fish.
We also got some African cichlids that we haven't had in quite a while, including a few different types of highly demanded Mbunas and a few new colors of Peacocks in both regular and adult sizes.
Give your rep a call if you have any questions!

If you're wanting some big and impressive tetras this week your best bet are going to be Red Eyes (absolutely massive, see pic below against a quarter for size comparison) and the Silvertips. Both albino and regular silvertip are running very large and have excellent color. IMO That is one of the most underrated tetras in the industry....they school tightly, and the males get really nice color.
Other tetras that stand out this week include the new batch of Black Emperors and normal Emperors, Buenos Aires, Black Skirts, and Blushing White are all above average.
Serpae Tetras did get a bit smaller this week compared to how they've been running lately. Unfortunately the Florida breeder has run out so we had to switch to imported Serpaes this week and they're about half the size you're used to. |

Emerald Dwarf Rasboras are back this week after a fairly lengthy moment of absence. These are a super popular nano-fish that will look really great once they settle in and maybe grow a little but in our bare empty tank here they tend to just look kind of grey. Google the pics of what they look like when they're happy though if you're unfamiliar with this fish, they're one of the best looking nano-fish for small planted tanks.
Black Ruby Barbs are getting better and better each week, and the males are starting to turn red now, making them a fantastic barb option. Glass barbs came in super nice, and have catapulted themselves to the top of the barb category in looks, get 'em while they're hot. Albino Tigers also are running larger than normal.
White cloud minnows are running nice in both flavors albino and regular (we do NOT recommend eating them) and the golds especially have great color and are a surprisingly good fish for little outdoor ponds and stuff as well as tanks! They're fairly cold-hardy so they can be outside year round if you're in the south. |

Assorted Swordtails are looking great, and have a lot of really nice red tux types in the mix that look really cool. The assortment is quite a bit cheaper than the single-color sword types too, so honestly unless you just hate selling mixes for some reason and you think your customers would prefer less variety to pick from, I'd recommend the assorted 10 times out of 10 right now. The velvets are very weird looking, not true velvets, and the neons are running small and don't have many males, so they're not the best choice right now.
We sold out of I think about 90% of the guppies on the list by the end of the week, but as usual we do have a guppy restock coming on Sunday, so we should be OK for your orders using this stocklist.
Dawn platies are back in stock and are one of my personal favorite platies, the 2-tone coloration looks great. They're a blueish greenish front half with an orangish back half, if you've never ordered them before, I'd recommend them.

Chili oscars are back and this might be the mostly intensely red batch yet! They're almost completely solid bright red, this is VERY different from a standard "red" or "albino red" oscar and worth the price. When they're fully grown I bet they're absolutely stunning. If your customer can only have 1 oscar in a tank, it might as well be the best looking one they can find, right?
A few nice Geophagus are back this week, including 2 sizes of Heckelli (AKA Threadfin Acara) and Red Head Tapajos. The RHT's are about 3 inches, listed as "medium" on the list, and we actually have a pretty decent number of them so hopefully we have plenty to last all the way through Monday and Tuesday packing at least. You never know though, because it's such a popular fish, it still wouldn't surprise me if we did sell out early.
Discus have been selling very very well lately, but we have had an issue with keeping enough of each type in stock, so good news everybody: We doubled the order of everything this week. So we should have no shortage of discus, and the prices are great! These are about 2 inch fish, so they're big enough to have color while being small enough that we don't have to charge you $50+ for them like we would have to if we were bringing in 4 inch fish. The assortment doesn't have any solid blue types in there, but does have a decent mix of turqs, snakeskins, marlboros, and a few others I'm not sure what they're going to turn into yet. |

Finally we have some new Africans to talk about this week! We got 2 new strains of peacock from a Florida breeder we haven't tried yet and they're both nice looking fish. We got the Dragonblood, which is a typical Dragon Blood with oranges and pinks and little spots all over, as well as a Blue Dragon Blood, which looks completely different. While the name doesnt make much sense to me, this IS a very well established strain in the industry, so your customers are likely familiar with this fish are will be happy to take them off your hands for a premium price.
New Mbunas are here as well! I'm extremely excited to say we have Hongi Redtops back on the list. I think it's been probably 2 years since we've had this fish, and it's probably in the top 5 most popular Mbuna species. These are NOT "Swedish hongis", they're Florida bred, but still fantastic looking fish. When the males fire up and are a little bigger they're going to be your customers' favorite fish in their tanks. We also have Mbamba yellow tops back, which is another top selling mbuna that we haven't seen in quite some time.
Red Nyereri sold out, but we have more on order for Monday, so hopefully they look as nice as the last batch (pictured below).
Dave also decided to put the last few show peacocks on special for 29.99, so if you'd like any of those let your rep know. That's a killer deal for top quality male haps/peacocks. We need to clear tank space for a big African shipment next week, so take advantage of this offer and we both get something out of it. |

The Duckbill wood cats pictured at the top of the email are the definite highlight catfish that's currently in stock, but come Monday the Brazilian fancy plecos will be the highlight. Like I said in the introduction, they're on their way back from Miami with that shipment right now, but we won't be able to get pictures of them (and I don't think they're going to be on the stocklist either until Monday's "new fish" list). I'm going to put a picture of the last batch of Gold Nuggets below just to catch the attention of the people that don't read what I type so everyone knows to look and ask for them.
Shadow catfish are something I haven't seen in years here, and they've always been a really cool oddball catfish so I'm glad they're back! Try these guys out if you want to offer something interesting and not very pricey for your customers. They're sort of transparent but have a decent amount of yellow coloration along their back too so they're attractive little catfish.
Everyone here is super impressed with the lemon blue-eye plecos as well. That's a fancy bushynose type that we haven't had in a while and these guys are way bigger than we expected and have perfect coloration. They look like literal gold plated fish from above, the brightest yellow I've seen in person on a fish in a long time.
Gold dojo loaches got a little bigger this week, and the zebra and clown loaches still both look fantastic and are not skinny. |

Gold Nugget and Iriri (pictured) plecos finally coming in from Brazil today! This is an old pic since they're not here yet, but I expect they'll be just like this....they always are perfect. Check the Monday email for pricing and all the Brazil plecos. |

They've been here a couple weeks but I'm still enamored with the large sized spotted puffers. They're super bright greenish yellow on top and are full of personality. They'll swim right up to your fingers without any fear. A perfect tankmate for them would be the archers we got restocked. Both do best in brackish water, or at least some very heavily salted water.
Royal Clown Knives are back at the 8 inch size, so if you are looking for some truly impressive predatory fish these are right up there with the Baracudas this week. You could keep both together, since neither is particularly aggressive, they just want to eat smaller fish they can get close to swallowing whole and pretty much ignore larger tankmates.
Medium Turq rainbows are somehow managing to get even nicer week by week, something I didn't think was possible. The males are a seafoam green color with gold foreheads, super impressive looking. Albino Millineums are back in stock too, and the males are in pretty close to full color. I like these albinos because the females don't look as bad as the normal strain, at least they're solid yellow instead of solid brown. |

Black Bee shrimp are here for the first time in a while. While not as immediately striking as the normal red crystal shrimp, they're still a nice looking Caradina species that we get in. We don't get too many other Caradinas in here, everything else is mostly Neo's.
Speaking of Neos, the Bloody Mary shrimp look great, very rich dark red color, much better than a cherry shrimp. Orange Cherry are pretty nice too, and are definitely noticably orange instead of being red. We actually buy them as "sunkist orange" shrimp, but call them "orange cherry" on our list and I'm not sure why the name changes. They'll probably sell better for you if you call them sunkist shrimp. |

The Saltwater stock-list gets sent out on MONDAY afternoon.
In saltwater, we offer tons of top-of-the-line corals. If you need really nice frags to sell for $10-15, we've got you covered. If you want a $400 show piece unique Australian brain corals, we've got that too. Tons of the coral frags are aquacultured in-house and are named lineage pieces of various SPS and LPS. Import frags that are MADE in-house are also available, and are great options to get slightly bigger pieces that customers want like torches, hammers, blastos, acans, zoas, etc. |
