New Peacock Bass are in stock!  These are listed as 4-6 Inch, and we also had a price drop on the 3-4 Inch we still have in stock from last week.  Great time to get a couple Peacock Bass, we actually have more than 6 in stock right now to share between the sales staff.  We also have an even larger, 6-7 inch size, but we'll save that picture for the Monday email.

    News & New Items
    Hey folks,

Just a reminder we are still offering 20% off all GloFish® Danios for the month of September. Use this to your advantage to come up with some creative promotions to increase sales as we head into autumn. Fantastic week for incoming as we got flooded with a ton of stuff from the far east as well as lots of huge Florida raised Cichlids. This is a great time of year to stock up since the water temps will soon start to drop as well will the size of the fish. Bulk up now before the busy season starts so you're not stuck will all undersized inventory.

Colombia came in last night and while it was mostly restocks we did get some very notable items. First and foremost are the Peacock Bass. Some of the biggest we've gotten in a while, and I'm sure they'll fly out of here. No real need to push these as these always vanish in a hurry. In addition to those we got in another batch of big Pinktail Chalceus. Probably the nicest looking Characin that comes available. We also got a restock of Red Phantom Tetras that have been MIA for a while now. And I can't believe I'm saying this so I'm sure it'll come back to haunt me but as of this writing we have an abundance of Pygmy Cories. Have never said that before and doubt I ever will again so load up.  You should literally be buying 100 Pygmy Cory cats at a time if you like making money.  You can fit 100 in a 20 gallon tank, so yes you have room for them.

Not sure I can list everything that came in from the far east but I'll try.  First are the excellent Red and Black Orandas.  This is one of the most requested color combos, and when you ask your rep to hand pick your Orandas, I know you're hoping you're going to get mostly ones that look like this.  These are from a different breeder than our "bulk" mixed Orandas and the quality is infinitely better with both better finnage and better forehead lumps. If you missed out on the Electric Blue Jack Dempseys last week we got more in this week and they look just as nice. Also in the way of Cichlids we got Albino Heckelii. Last time these came in they were gone in a day. Got restocked on balloon fish including Red Eye Tetras and my personal favorites, Penguins. Red Panda Barbs are also back but I have to say as far as import Barbs go my vote this week is for the Spanner Ts. These are super underrated and one of my all time faves. Hujeta Rocket Gar are also back for the first time in a bit and while they may be a ion the small side they're irritably cute at this size. And last but not least are probably the nicest Royal Clown Knives I've seen. Pic is featured down below but definitely doesn't do them justice. These are awesome but of course super limited.

And I wasn't lying when I said we got in some huge African Cichlids this week. Couple local vendors were looking to free up some space so we got to take advantage of their fall cleaning. Plenty of oversized Haps, Peacocks and Mbuna. Mix of both natural variants as well as hybrids and OBs. And if you missed last week's email go back and check it out. We still have a number of Central/South American Cichlids that were featured. Probably the single nicest haul we've gotten since I've been here.

Incredible Red and Black Orandas this week!  Some are actually black and white Panda types, but you won't be mad to get those either....both color combos are the highest requested out of all Orandas.
Clouded aka Golden Archers are back and so far look fantastic. This is a true freshwater species that does not require salt making them on of the easier varieties to keep. These are highly sought after by collectors and not nearly as commonly available as their brackish cousins
Not the greatest pic in the world but who can resist that smile lol. That being said it might be hard to tell from looking at them but the Figure 8 Puffers are starting to come in with a bit more size to them.
Balloon Penguin Tetras are back in stock for the first time in months. These are one of the best looking balloon type Tetras there is. They become more rotund in appearance as they grow.
We're out of normal Red Eyes at the moment, but we have the Balloon version in stock if you need some sort of Red Eye this week.
Albino Heckelii make a triumphant return this week. They may not look like it now but these grow up to be the best looking albino Cichlid there is. Google a pic of these as adults and you'll see it's tough to argue. Collectors know what these are and will snap them up quickly regardless of size.
There is quite a bit of size difference in the Blue Tiger Parrots this week. The on eon top is one ours raised right here on the farm. The other is a far east import. Both look good and are very solid. Some like the smaller ones due to the cuteness factor. Let us know if you have a preference.
Got in what are probably the smallest Hujeta Rocket Gar I've ever seen come through here. Pic is magnified quite a bit but that doesn't take away from the fact even at a diminutive size these little prehistoric looking gems sell themselves.
Baby Redtail Cats are back and while they are running a bit small (around 2") they won't be that way for long. At this size be sure to keep a swarm of feeder guppies or ghost shrimp on them to keep their bellies nice and full.
8-10"  Royal Clown Knives are the nicest I've seen come through here. For lack of a better word they are perfect. Pic does not illustrate how big they are. Most are closer to the 10" mark.

Albino Millenia Rainbows are back and while running a bit small compared to some of the other types they are already showing good color.
Kamakas are running oversize and look to be male heavy. These just came in late yesterday afternoon so they will probably start showing their silver blaze by later today. One of the most underrated species of Rainbow.
Gold White Clouds got a restock this week and the size and color on these is great. Albeit a common staple it's always nice to see a text book example of a must have item.
Neon Gold Rosy Barbs are back for the first time in a while and it was well worth the wait. Size and color are fantastic on these, probably the biggest I've ever seen come through. Best looking Rosy type here right now.
Spanner T Barbs are in and look amazing. Some people might question how a gray and black fish can be amazing looking. I refer those people to the photo above. One of my all time favorite Barb species. Once found in every pet store at any given time these guys have fallen into obscurity. Old school collectors will know this fish immediately and will not hesitate to grab a bunch.
Moonlight Gouramis got a lot bigger this week, a solid option that you don't see around too often.
    Tetras
Longfin Serpaes on are also running on the larger size with highly exaggerated fins. Sporting a deep, rich red coloration these are a must have this week.
Red Phantom Tetras are back after a brief absence. They typically come in a bit on the pale side but pump them full of a high quality diet rich in beta carotene and they'll color up in no time.
New Green Fires are some of the nicest to come in for quite some time. I often refer to these as a poor ma's Bloodfin Tetra but not this time around. Often times running fairly small I had to do a double take when I walked past their tank.
Bloodfins are in stock this week and while size is pretty average color is fantastic. Super nice finnage right now.
We found a handful of Marbled Hatchets that are still here.  Not many, so you're going to almost certainly have them scratched if your order packs later than Tuesday, but this is your best chance to get the healthiest possible marbles in ages.  Been here almost a month now.
    Livebearers

Blue Butterfly Moon Platy are restocked and continue to show up great size and color, well worth the premium over the "normal" platy colors.

Black Endlers look awesome.  All males, and make a perfect guppy substitute for anyone that's sick of pulling 3 or 4 dead guppies out of their tanks every morning.
    Lemon Guppy
    Firetail Guppy
    Red Cobra Guppy
    Red Rose Guppy
    Central/South American Cichlids
4" Red Devils are back and contain a nice mix of both solid tangerine and pieds. A tank buster that should be on everybody's order this week.
Red Head Tabajos are restocked again.  Size isn't great, but I expect they'll still likely run out this week and it might be the last time we can restock them for a while.
Regular sized Red Spot Gold Severums have plenty of color even at this size.  They make a great lower cost option if you don't think you can easily move the mediums.
Red Warrior Flowerhorns came in as a Florida bred product this week. These tend to run heavy on red coloration once mature as the name would suggest, Got pic of one of the related adults down below.
We do NOT have this fish at this size but this is what the previously featured Red Warrior Flowerhorns will grow up to look like. Not many Florida raised varieties rival that of the ones coming out of Bangkok but this is one of the exceptions.
Featured the medium Chocolate Cichlids last week but as we sold out of those almost immediately this week we're featuring the regular/2" size. Just as nice only slightly smaller and a bit cheaper.
Curviceps could go here or in the Community category as these guys stay fairly small and are relatively peaceful towards like-sized tankmates
    Old World Cichlids
Got in quite a few larger African Cichlids this week including XL and Show size Haps and Peacocks. Some are definitely hybrids but none are disappointing when it comes to size and color.
A prime example of the "Premium OB Male Peacocks" new to the list this week.  These are good sized (4 inch or maybe slightly larger) fish and are mostly the less common types of OB's like this Blueberry OB here.
The Show size Peacocks/Haps are exactly that. There are always people looking for larger size fish to add to existing aquariums/displays and these definitely fit the bill.
This massive Taiwan Reef Hap was found in the Show Peacock mix. So it's not exclusively Aulonocara species but there's great fish in the assortment.
Another of the Show Size Peacocks.  It doesn't get more colorful than this, and it's NATURAL Florida color.
Found a number of these Albino Flamebacks in the medium assorted Hap mix. One of the better looking Albino Victorians.
Albino German Red Peacocks also fell into the medium assorted Hap mix. Next time around we just might call it assorted African Cichlid mix but people will likely assume it's just a bunch of Mbuna.
Medium sized Red Head Macs are available for the first time in a couple years, I believe!  One of the best looking Mbunas out there.  There are also a few in the medium mix Hap tank.  Yes, I know they're not Haps.  Your customers won't care for how cheap you can sell them.
Got restocked on large Fancy Mbuna this week. These are mostly hybrids but they're mostly hybrids of straight colors like this Elongatus looking type. Great mix of unique colors and patterns you're not going to find in a typical assortment.
    Discus
    Assorted Singapore 2.5"
    Assorted Singapore 2.5"
    Assorted Singapore 2.5"
    Plecos
    Colombian Zebra
Upside Down Cat are back after a lengthy hiatus.
Siamese Algae Eaters are running about twice the size they have all summer. Perfect time to stock up on one of the best cleaners out there. Far superior to the more common Chinese Algae Eater.
    Skunk Cory

Vampire Crabs in stock just in time for Halloween.
