    News & New Items
    Hey folks,
This week has been full of stuff i know that everyone's going to be excited about.  We got restocks of some of the most popular imported fish, and several new color varieties of mollies and guppies to keep things fresh!

Starting with the most popular thing, we got a small batch of Dwarf Pea Puffers. These are THE most popular species of freshwater Puffer in the hobby and always sell out almost immediately.  If you're waiting to put your order in until Tuesday afternoon, these will probably be gone by then, just a heads up  It's been months since they've been in stock and every store in the country is trying to buy them. Another long lost item we haven't had in ages are the Kyathit aka Orange Finned Danios. These look like Zebras at first but once you get up on them the differences are obvious. Bright orange fins (as the name would suggest and the body can consist of squiggly lines and/or circle patterns. And if you're in need of balloon fish we got in both Red Eye Tetras and Rams in that style. But if you're in the market for something big and impressive the Royal Clown knives are perfect for you. Running between 7-8" these are already sporting their spots and look amazing even from across the room.

For new Mollies, we have a platinum ballon for those balloon fish lovers out there.  These are beautiful solid bright platinum white (not silver).  The Red Dalmation from a few weeks ago that were the most popular molly we've ever had are back in stock.  We also have a new one that I think is somehow even better than those leopards....called "tricolor" molly.  Just look at the pics further down the email, absolutely jaw dropping fish for something as common and "simple" as a molly.  Soccer moms and hardcore fish-nerd hobbyist-breeders alike will be clamoring for a group of these.  We also have a new solid gold molly, and a "gold calico" molly (which are not very calico, but still very cool).

We put them on the "new fish list" last week, but for those that missed it we have a ton of new guppy strains in stock as well on the list this week.  The Handsome Lad and the Black Lyretail have been huge hits and everyone that's tried them so far has loved them.  We're also hearing nothing but praise about the hardiness and health of these new guppies (from a new supplier we've recently started using) so if you have had trouble keeping guppies alive for a week in the past, maybe try some of these new ones out.

And it wouldnt be a week here without mentioning new Cichlids.  We got a couple more nice Central Americans in the form of some excellent medium sized Rainbow Cichlids in basically full color.  And the imported peacocks are freshly juiced up on hormones and ready to impress!  The regular size is the best value on those, just as much color as the 3 inch for a lot smaller price tag.

Got in a very limited number of Starfire Red Gouramis available this week so order early!
Electric Green and Starfire Red Angels

    Colombia
I have literally never gotten to say this in all the time I've been here but we have plenty of Otocinclus to go around this week. And what's even more amazing than that we even have enough that we're putting them on special this week!
Wild Sailfins out of Colombia are still one of the coolest, most Unique looking species of Tetra in the hobby.
Red Phantom Tetras stay small enough they can pass  as a nano fish.
Spotted Hoplo Cats are more striped than spotted but still one of the best looking scavengers on the farm. That's pretty impressive considering it's a predominantly brown colored fish.
Have some decent numbers of Peacock bass available in a couple different size this week. Taking down feeder guppies at the moment but with a little patience they can be switched over to frozen bloodworms pretty quickly.
BB Cats are on special this week, and make for a great cheap oddball catfish that stay small.
Red Hooks are some of the nicest we gotten in a while.
    Asia Imports
Got Figure Eight Puffers  at the large size, looking fantastic!  When these are bigger they look 10X better than small ones.
Dwarf Puffers are back! Not sure what the exact season is on these guys because when the disappear they disappear for a while. But we have them this week so load up while you can.
Bumble Bee (BB) are the most popular Goby in "freshwater" for a reason, they're stupid cute.
Rhino Gobies are the closest thing to a saltwater species you can get without having to go fall on salt. They do prefer slightly brackish conditions but so long as the water as hard with high pH 9like it is here) they typically do just fine.

One of the only commercially available Asiatic species of Cichlids is back this week, Orange Chromides. This is the aquarium strain version so unlike they're wild counterparts these actually have color.
Balloon Ram availability has been hit or miss as of late so stock up a bit just in case they disappear again.
Balloon Red Eye (call them floating head Tetras for Halloween since that's what they look like) are back this week.
Kyathit aka Orange Fin Danios (call them the latter, no one can ever pronounce the other) are in for the first time in over a year. At a glance they look like a Zebra Danio but as they settle in the orange coloration becomes prominent and the stripes can often turn into circles.
Got Burmese Sun Cats in at two sizes this week-super huge XLs (pictured) and super tiny regulars. Both are good choices and I would recommend stocking both.
Since we can't currently get Upside Down Cats from local sources we started importing them from the far east and we were not disappointed. Size is great with super clean patterns.
Zebra (Striata) Loaches came in at a great size this week. Nice bright gold color and just loke most Botia type Loaches these guys are great at eliminating unwanted nuisance snails.
Skunk Botias are in fort he first time in three years! Small and adorable but don't let that fool ya, these guys can be very territorial so don't keep them with anything too small or too peaceful.
In addition to the regular Tiger Botias featured in the Monday email we also got them in a large size this week.
    Hot pics
New Platinum Balloons are one of the nicest looking Mollies to come in this week. Metallic white with a blue hue to them.
Tequila Sunrise are one of the best looking standard type Guppy this week.
Assorted Endler's have a great mix of varieties in the batch this week. Often times it's limited to two types.
Gold Neons are the best looking Rosy Barb available this week.
Regular Pearl Gouramis are running big at the moment with lots of nice color.
Medium Bosemani Rainbows are available this week so I would recommend everyone have them on their orders as they have been very difficult to get at this size lately.
Blue rams are still coming in as far east raised imports at the moment but the size and color are still fantastic. Keep in mind these are more like wild types than the German variant.
    Discus
    Singapore assorted 2.5-3"

    Cichlids
New Rainbow Cichlids came in at a medium size this week and while they're not all this big they are all this colorful. Some of the brightest to come through here.
Got one more batch of Florida raised Geo Sveni and I'm being told this is gonna be it for a while. We can probably still get tiny ones as far east imports but they're about the same price and these are much nicer.
3" Cubans are back but not for long. This is another one that came in with very limited numbers. These are still at a size where they can still be kept together but not for much longer so keep a close eye on them.
Might be a shortage on decent sized Green Terrors in the near future due to supply shortages so now is a good time to stock up on the mediums.
Tobasco Salvini are on of if not the best looking Central/Southie here on the farm this week. These are limited so don't wait on them.
Got a handful of medium Fredrichstahli aka Yellow Jacket Cichilds available and that's gonna be it on this size for the foreseeable future. Might be able to get some small ones but probably nothing this big, not for a while at least.
    Old World Cichlids
Regular Red Nyererei have a surprising amount of color at this size
Another classic Mbuna, Albino Zebra, are so crisp in color they have a blue hue to them.
    Medium Fancy Mbuna
Regular and select size Assorted Peacocks are Florida raised so no juice=no color (yet). But there are plenty of purists out there (present company included) who prefer to wait for them to color up naturally. Mix includes OB, Eureka Red and Red Shoulder.
Regular sized Red Empress aren't super impressive yet but they're perfect for patient customers who are on a budget.
Large Red Empress are all over the map in terms of size and color. Most are male but not all have colored up yet. It's best to separate them at this size so the submissive males can mature faster without getting bullied by the more dominant ones.
Taiwan Reefs are back in at a regular size. No color yet but great price point However if you're looking for something bright be sure to keep scrolling.
Large Male Taiwan Reefs are back in stock but in very limited numbers. These make for fantastic display specimens in-store or for that hard to please service client.
Lamp Brevis "Sunspot" Shell Dwellers. This is the size we currently have available.
This is what Brevis will look like as adults.
Buffalo Head were one of the most popular West African Cichlid once upon a time but then fell into obscurity. Because of that a lot of commercail producers got away from them and now that they are found in fairly limited numbers they are highly sought after by avid collectors. Just so happens that one of our very own team members here at the farm has multiple breeding pairs and is able to supply us with these unsung beauties.

Hygro Chai-pic does not do these justice. Had these on display at LA Pet Fair this past summer and they look amazing in a submerged state. Purple leaves with silver accents. People were going nuts over them.
