Hey Everyone,
We are closed Monday for Labor Day! I think this is the first year we are closed on this holiday, so this is a change. UPS is always closed Labor Day and we don't have enough stores ordering for Airline pack on Monday to justify bringing in a crew to pack that day, so this year we're going to see how it goes just being closed. That means if you want your order to pack Tuesday and you normally call in your order on Monday afternoon, you'll need to email it to your rep this time. We will have until 10AM to enter orders for Tuesday pack on Tuesday morning, basically treating Tuesday like a Monday. This also means that Tuesday is going to be pretty busy, so getting packed Wednesday or Thursday might honestly be better if you're going UPS.
Incoming this week had some really neat oddball stuff as well as some fish that used to be staples that we haven't seen in a while like medium black ghost knives! Indonesian gobies are back in, several tetras that have been out for a few weeks are back, and the guppy section is fully re-stocked. Lots of Florida bread and butter running big and nice in Tetras, Barbs, and Cichlids.
We likely will NOT be sending out much in the way of what's normally a "Monday email" on Tuesday, but we will still send something out quick to get the updated reptile and saltwater lists in your hands. But just wanted to let you know now so you don't delay an order next week waiting for additional specials that won't be coming.
If you have any questions, give your sales rep a call

Florida bred Von Rio and Orange Von Rio are both back this week after a short leave of absence and both are still running nice size, although the orange von rios are significantly nicer than the normal ones and worth the extra price. Florida bred black skirt tetras are absolutely massive, and the serpae of both fin types are way better than average right now too with great red color. Buenos Aires are also running massive.
Imported blue kerri tetras are back in stock this week and size is pretty decent, bringing our available emperor-type tetras up to three! Black emperor are still hanging around in limited numbers (size is smaller but that's par for the course with them, they never seem to come in oversized) and the standard emperor tetras are still here and holding up well.
Yellowtail Congo Tetras have been here for over a month now, and I'm honestly pretty suprised. Google pictures of that fish when they mature, they're really cool looking, there aren't too many fish that get such a bright yellow coloration on them.

Chili Rasboras are back in stock, and here's the reminder that there are FOUR different species of rasboras that are all sold as "chili" rasbora. unfortunately, some of those species are less colorful than others, and the batch we have right now are in that category. I believe these are "Boras Maculatus", which don't get nearly as bright red as the Boras Briggitae which is probably the fish you think of as a Chili Rasbora. So, fair warning before you buy 200 and then are dissapointed.
For new fish you WONT be dissapointed in, try the Black Tiger Barbs! They're very interesting looking. They have a solid black patch in the middle of the body instead of normal tiger barb stripes and have almost a purplish reddish color on the nose and tail area. Lake Inle Danios are somehow still in stock after last week as well, these are 2 inch danios with a ton of color, and should definitely be more popular.
Longfin Rosy Barb all-male are extremely bright and good size, definitely worth the upcharge for longfin over the normal rosy barbs this week. Florida bred Cherry Barbs are also still running huge and should be on every order until they don't look like this. Even if you already have some, you need to buy more. Also, having 8 of a cheap tetra or barb in stock is the same as having zero, so stock up!
Also, the industry is basically out of normal zebra danios right now, but the longfin zebras are exceptional. We're being told it will be another 2 or 3 weeks until normal zebras are back in stock, so plan accordingly if you're one of the many stores that relies on those to cycle tanks for customers and have a cheap dither available. For the time being, I think the best replacement would be the XRay tetras we have on special this week that are actually cheaper than the zebra danios would have been had they been in stock. |

I'm sure everyone will be happy to see the guppy list is back to normal this week. Lots and lots of guppies got restocked and we have more coming on Sunday so we should be good for next week on most colors and types. Pigeon Blood came in oversized, it's not often i see a guppy and think "wow, those are big", they're usually the same solid size every week across every type, but those do stand out right now.
Large sailfin mollies are in stock for every color we commonly get at the moment. It's been a while since we've had ALL of them in stock at the same time, so you can make yourself a really nice mixed tank right now if you'd like. The Gold is especially nice looking. I'd recommend staying away from the silver and dalmation mollies next week, they're looking pretty rough. The Sphenops black or gold are exceptional substitutions. Sphenops type are a different species of molly, and hold up MUCH better in pure freshwater than the sailfin types so that's what I'd recommend for your bread and butter cheap molly to stock.
Firecracker swordtails are back and as impressive as ever. These are always fully grown and super bright, definitely one of the most impressive livebearers you can put in a tank. The assorted florida-bred swordtails are also a really solid mix with not a lot of brown fish in there. There's more in the mix than what we have available seperately, like pineapples, pineapple wags, velvet wags, etc. |

Florida is out of Blue Rams, so we imported some tank raised rams and they're actually pretty decent. The size is good, probably bigger on average than the Florida fish we were getting for the past few weeks. We still have plenty of Gold rams and Black rams from Florida in stock for the time being.
A lot of angelfish are running quite large right now, with the most obvious example being the Black angels, which are absolutely gigantic. Picture below with a quarter next to the fish to show size. The Gold large are also very nice, and the medium size on the mixed veil are honestly just as big as the large size.
We got some really nice CA cichlids from a specialty breeder this week, so it should scratch the itch of your pickier customers for sure. Red Tiger moto's are one of the species that are always a hot seller that we got, and this batch is really nice size compared to in the past. Average size is probably 1.5-1.75 inches so your customers can definitely tell what they are when they see them in your tanks. Electric Blue Carpintis are also in at an EXTREMELY competitive price for the size (2-3 inches). Please note, on our stocklist these are listed as just "carptintis med" but they ARE the bright blue ones. Also in from this shipment are Bifasciatus, which are one of the best looking CA cichlids in the hobby once they color up, with males getting a ton of nice bright red color that contrasts well with a black background. |

We are back in stock with Jewel cichlids and they're running a fair bit larger than a "regular" usually would. The males have great red color on them when showing off, and they're big enough to be showing off and breeding the first day you get them.
Not much else new in Old World cichlids this week, but we are still getting in a ton of extremely nice large mixed mbunas in right now. We sell these for about 25% less than the competition as well, so you're getting nice stocky locally raised fish for a good deal.
We also found a handful of Flavescent peacock cichlids that had grown up from the small ones we brought in from Old World a the beginning of the year. Looks like 3 males and 3 females so perfect breeding group for someone that wants to set them up. Get with your rep on price Tuesday if you're interested in getting the group and we'll have a price for you then.

We skipped getting a Colombia shipment this week, so any Cory catfish that are in stock have been here for almost 2 weeks by the time your order will be packing this week. This should be a good chance to get some nice healthy south american staples since you know it's been sitting for a while. Green Phantom plecos, Colombian zebras, and wild large bushynose are all still here for Plecos, along with the small (very small) blue phantoms.
Small Syno Eupterus are back on the list after a year of not being able to get any! I never thought this would be a fish that was ever unavailable, but I think the massive demand the chain stores put on the suppliers for this fish have just been sucking up 100% of the supply for the past year. But we did finally get a bag of them to sell this week, so stock up now if you've been waiting for cheap syno cats!
This batch of clown loaches is looking great too. The size is right around 1.5 inches, so they're small, but the bellies are full and the fish are active and looking healthy, which isn't always something that can be said for clown loaches.
Speaking of loaches, both the Sewellia Hillstream Loaches and the Zebra Loaches got restocked this week so no lapse in availability on either of those popular and good looking species. |

Zhou Gobies are back! These sold great last time and everybody liked them that I got feedback from. The males are very colorful and the females are honestly just sort of brown but you know everybody that's into these sorts of rare oddball nano fish likes to have pairs, so don't pass on the girls.
Doctor fish are back as well, also known as the "pedicure fish", these are the fish you see in the foot spas that eat the dead skin off your feet. They're a great scavenger in a normal tank setting too.
More new fish that I'm sure everyone's been waiting on: Scarlet Badis! These always sell out in a hurry, we honestly probably sell these for far too cheap. There are far more males than females (possibly 100% males...its impossible to tell for sure here) so you'll get plenty of super brightly colored fish. These are one of my favorite nano fish not just for the color, but they have a ton of personality too, always hiding in plants and darting out to flare their fins at each other or grab a piece of food. They're basically like Asian Pygmy Sunfish that are red instead of Blue.
In Rainbowfish this week, tons are looking fantastic. Turqs, Emeralds, Reds, Kamaka, and all the dwarf types are better than average. We also have the much less common "red dragon" rainbow on special this week. Honestly they don't look great yet, but they do turn into a spectacular fish once the males mature. We over-ordered them and need to clear up space, so now's a great opportunity to grab a group to grow out for a display tank or something like that! |

The Saltwater stock-list gets sent out on MONDAY afternoon.
In saltwater, we offer tons of top-of-the-line corals. If you need really nice frags to sell for $10-15, we've got you covered. If you want a $400 show piece unique Australian brain corals, we've got that too. Tons of the coral frags are aquacultured in-house and are named lineage pieces of various SPS and LPS. Import frags that are MADE in-house are also available, and are great options to get slightly bigger pieces that customers want like torches, hammers, blastos, acans, zoas, etc. |
