    News & New Items
    Hey folks,

First, I just wanted to mention that next week is the last week before Labor Day!  That means you all need to be ordering up this week to get ready.  Trust me, DO NOT CLOSE ON LABOR DAY!  Be open, run a Labor Day Sale, and you'll be as busy as a good Saturday normally is.  Everyone that's off at their job is going to be out shopping, excited to finally be able to go buy some fish during the week when they're normally at work.  Be there for them.  Don't let them spend their money at Petsmart or Petco instead (both of which are open for Labor Day, probably after spending 20,000 dollars on research and analytics to determine if opening or closing is better, so learn from them for free and be open!).

We had lots of incoming both last week and this week so there's plenty to help you stock up with.  Starting with an excellent shipment from Colombia:

Peacock Bass season seems to be in full swing as we got in two more sizes this week but like always these are sure to sell out almost immediately so act fast if you want some. Red Hooks are back in on this shipment as well and these are some of the cleanest I've ever seen come in. Usually they have to be here a week or two in order for their fins to heal up but that isn't the case this time, these are good to go right out of the bag. On the smaller side of things we got in some wild Bleeding Heart Tetras. These are solid in size and run a bit cheaper than the ones that come in from Peru. And last but not least we still have some Green Neons from the last Colombia shipment and they're still looking really solid.  We also got good numbers of both striped and spotted Raphael Catfish, rubber lip plecos, farlowellas with good size, and more great little Royal Plecos.

There's certainly no shortage of far east imports this week, almost too much to list but I'll try. In no particular order I'll start with the Turkana Jewels. This is one of my favorite variants of this genus. They take a bit to settle in but once they do their color is unlike any other species of Jewel Cichlid as they are absolute knock-outs. Got some much needed restocks on some fan favorites including Galaxy Rasboras, Emerald Dwarf Rasboras, Black Emperor Tetras and the ever popular Sewellia Hillstream Loach. Also got in some more 4" Clown Loach but these are once again very limited so don't wait on these. We also got in some more Amano Shrimp. If you haven't brought these in before you should. These are the best algae eating species out there and people come out of the woodwork for them.

And of course no email would be complete without a shout out to some Florida Fish. I'll start with the medium assorted male Rainbows. They may cost a bit more but they are worth the extra money as these sell quickly and you won't have to worry about getting stuck with females. I have pics of the large size below but both are available and the mediums are a bit more price friendly. One of my favorite items to come in recently are the large Zebra Obliquidens. The color on these is outstanding and they usually run male heavy. Been getting quite a few medium and large sizes on some of the more popular Mbuna types including Electric Blue Johanni, Snow White Socolofi, Acei and Rustys. They may cost a bit more but it's something you're customers are definitely looking forsince not everyone stock the bigger sizes on such common staples. And one more item that is super noteworthy are the Super Red Bushynose. We have not had these available since hurricane Milton hit last fall. Joe used to refer to these as Super Rusty Bushynose as that is a more accurate description of their adult color but regardless these are super popular and sell out super fast

    Colombia
Peacock bass are back at a larger size this week!  I think we still even have a handful of the small ones that were on the list this past week as well.  These larger ones are as limited as ever, each sales rep only has a couple to sell to their entire customer base, so don't be offended when we tell you that we can only sell you a single fish.   Trust me, if we didn't limit this stuff, you would get zero instead of one, because theres always someone that puts an order in for 25, and we only got 13 to begin with.
Large red hooks are back for the first time in months.  This is a good representative size, and you can see the red fin very clearly on these.  Much nicer than standard silver dollars.
Bleeding Heart Tetras are back from Colombia.  It's been nice being able to get these out of Colombia lately, it used to be we had to order them from Peru, and we do Peru very rarely nowadays.
Pygmy Cory Cats are back in stock.  Got a couple thousand, and I guarantee it won't be enough.  A couple thousand might not even make it past Monday.  This is probably one of the best selling fish in the whole industry.
Bumblebee cats are restocked.  Nothing new or abnormal about these, just mentioning we still have them.
New Tiger Shovelnose Cats are slightly smaller than the last batch but are still sporting great patterns.
    Asia Imports
Gold Balloon Rams are not as popular as they should be.  The color is great, and people love cute balloon fish.  Try some if you never have, you might find a new great item to stock.
Electric Blue Jacks are just as perfect as ever.  solid, bright blue color on these like always, and I think we sell them for about half the price of most other wholesalers, so don't sleep on these.  Great opportunity to make a great profit margin on the resale.
Lemon Oscars are back, and mostly the tiger type pattern like you see here.  Most have the black fins too which looks pretty cool.
Lake Turkana Jewel Cichlids are my favorite fish we've been regularly getting from Indo lately.  The color on these is spectacular, and they're a lot less aggressive than standard jewels.  If they're not guarding babies, I'd almost call them a community fish
Apistogramma Pandurini "Blue Sky" are in for what I believe is the first time for this variant. Right now they look like a typical Pandurini which isn't a bad thing because even at an inch they have a very distinct pattern. Once they mature the males turn a brilliant sky blue color and even the females make for pretty decent looking adults.
Galaxy Rasboras are still coming in really solid size lately.  You can see their full patterns and they are basically full grown.
Samurai Gouramis are a great looking batch, lots of bright red color and green iridescence on the females.
Still have a couple knight gobies in stock.  These are one of the largest gobies we bring in, and they're very impressive looking and standout in your freshwater side.  They look like saltwater gobies, and that's probably because they are technically brackish species.
4 inch clown loaches almost ran out this week, but we brought in another bag to restock, so still in good shape on these.
4 Inch HiFin Banded Loaches are still in stock.  They make great aquarium fish at this size, very interesting looking, and extremely hardy and tolerant of a wide range of conditions.  These do get about 2 feet long, and are mostly sold as fish for Koi Ponds, where they make great bottom feeders.
Sewellia Hillstream Loaches are back!  Also restocked the uglier (but half the price) Borneo Sucker Loaches.  Both are fantastic algae-eaters.
    Community
Got a new photo for our website of the brilliant Rasboras that shows them off very well.  This is an often overlooked option for a cheap schooling community fish.  They look great in a small group following each other around.
Scissortail rasboras are getting bigger, and the namesake tail shape is clearly visible now. Another great option for a schooling fish
Checkerboard Barbs aren't new. I think we've kept them on the stock list every week for like 5 months straight, but this is a great photo, so check them out.  If you don't normally buy these, you probably should be.
Gold Gouramis are back in stock and most are running a very solid size.  None are tiny, so they're between "good" and "great".
Lavender Gouramis are my favorite color variant of this species, but they're running quite small now as you can see here.  I'd go with other colors for the next couple weeks.
Albino Paradise Gouramis are one of the best values here right now.  Running way oversized, and the males look incredible sparring with each other,  They're pretty mean to each other, but they don't ever seem to do any real damage as long as you have a big enough tank they can get away from each other.
Peacock Gudgeons continue run oversize. More like at a medium at this point so they're big enough to really show their amazing red and blue coloration
Assorted large male rainbows still looking excellent.  This full-color Red male is a perfect example of what you get for your money when you order these.  Definitely worth it.
Another large male Rainbow, this time a Dorityi Rainbow.  We don't even have these for sale separately, but there's a couple in the large mix.
    Tetras
    Black Neon
Green Neon.  You can see these are quite a bit different from "normal" neon tetras when you get a nice zoomed in hi quality photo like this.  Green neons are wild caught, and don't have as much red color on them, but the green stripe also goes all the way from head to tail, unlike in normal neons.
Bloodfin Tetra.  One of my favorites that I think you can still maybe call an "oddball" tetra.  They haven't gotten as popular yet as the Serpaes, Red Eyes, Black or White Skirts, etc.
    Blind Cave Tetra.
Green Lazer AKA "Iguana" Tetras are finally ready for sale.  They crashed pretty hard on us when they got imported 2 weeks ago, but they've been stable for a week now so we're selling them now.  Not many available, so if you're an Iguana Tetra fan, get your order in early.
Normal Silver Dollars are actually about roughly the size of a silver dollar coin.  Bigger than a quarter.
Gold Pristellas are plentiful and looking great.  The red they keep in the tail fin makes them look much more interesting than your typical albino tetra.
    Livebearers
HiFin Neon Black Redtail Variatus. This new photo makes their beauty really stand out.  If you only sell Platies and not Variatus, you're missing out.
Bumblebee Platy are one of the "higher end" platies that cost a little extra, but you get a much fancier and prettier fish for your money with them.  This is an example of probably about the LEAST spotted fish you can expect to get.  Most have a lot more black speckling on them.
Firecracker Swords are the most expensive swordtail we bring in, but they're fully worth it.  They're very large, great color, and those dorsal fins look so cool and huge on both males and females.
New Swordtail for this week, great size too!  "Pineapple Wag".  Not sure what kind of red pineapples the person that named these was eating, but it's a nice fish.
Kohaku Koi Sword are one of the larger batches I've seen come through in a while.
    Central/South American Cichlids
Medium Firemouths are 3 or 4 times the size of the regular Firemouth.  Definitely worth the extra cost if you want to offer good fish to your customers instead of just having them to say you have them.
4" Heckelii are not only on point as far as size is concerned but also for color. The reflective iridescence on these is insane and they still have a ton of growing to do.
5 Inch Salvini are the new "big fish" for the week.  They honestly are more colorful as young fish, but they still look pretty good at the grandpa size.
    Old World Cichlids
Large Acei are fantastic, one of the best looking African Cichlids for the price.
Medium Snow White Socos are still here, and still perfectly white.  Definitely stand out if you add these to a mixed tank.
Med EB Johanni are the best value in Mbunas.  They're only a slight increase in price over the regular size, but you get a great 3 inch or so fish for the price in full adult color.
Assorted medium haps have some nice victorians in the mix, its not just livingstoni and venustus.
Large EB Ahlis are cheaper and way better than medium EB Ahlis, so buy these until we fix the price or run out.
Large Mixed Haps have some excellent fish in it like this big male Venustus.
    Plecos
Goldie "Sunshine" plecos are the last of the Brazil plecos still here.  I think there's only maybe 3 left, so it's almost too late to get them if you've been wanting one.
Medium sized Albino Bushynose are a great option if you want a good sized bushynose but don't want to spring for the large price.  These mediums are already very impressive.
Longfin medium Bushynose are also very impressive.  Smaller body size than the albinos, but the fin length makes up for it.
For the first time in literally years, Super Red Bushynose are back!  They're small, but they're all going to sell out before we ever get a chance to sell anything larger.  If you've got customers looking for these, they need to buy this size and be patient and grow them up.
