Hey everyone,
We did just mention it in the email with the Monday specials but wanted to send another email just to make sure everyone sees and is aware that we are only 7 days away from packing up the new Starfire Red® GloFish® Angelfish to go out to you. We're getting a lot of questions about "when is the earliest I can order them" and "How many can I get" and things like that, so this should help clear that up as a way to get all the information into one spot for you.
"When is the earliest I can get the new GloFish® Angelfish?" --We start shipping Monday. That means if you submit an order to us over the weekend either by emailing your sales rep, or with an order placed through our website, it can pack the first possible day so you get the fish for sale on Tuesday. Sunday is the official launch day, but nobody will have the fish on Sunday, since we don't pack on Sunday.
"What is the price?" --MSRP (the price the big chains will sell them for) is $29.99.
"How big are they going to be?" --We have been stockpiling fish for months at this point waiting for the launch date, so a lot of the fish that will be shipping out starting next Monday are going to be larger than they will normally be. Our target size for long term on these is going to be what we call a "select" size, which is bigger than a regular size mixed angel you would order from us, but they're running larger than that for the release week only. We expect to sell through these bigger ones in one week then going forward will be at the "select" size.
"How big will they get? What should I tell my customers is a good tank size?" --Like all GloFish® these are the exact same as their Non-Glo counterparts, so they'll get the same size as a normal silver angelfish, so whatever you would recommend for a silver, koi, or marbled angelfish will be the same for these.
"Can I mix them with other Angelfish?" --Sure, you can. They'll get along just fine with other angels of different types and colors. However, we would highly recommend displaying ALL GloFish® under blue lights, and that includes the angels. Therefore, I think you'll sell them a lot easier if you dedicate a tank to them in your GloFish® section (or add them to the tank you keep your GloFish® Danios or Tetras in, that's fine too). |
