Hey Folks,
Nicholsi dwarf cichlids are in stock. A close relative of the old time Egyptian mouthbrooder that most of you are too young to remember. If you read old aquarium literature you might know that this was one of the first mouthbrooding fish in the hobby, pre-dating the importation if Rift Lake fish by decades. The original Egyptian mouthbrooder was neat but not that flashy. It's rarely around anymore, and when it is it's a fish-geek fish. The nicholsi are very similar but with color. Lots of blue and red and yellow, these are gorgeous fish that stay under 4" and aren't particularly aggressive. My reps insist that they don't sell because I usually get all males. This set is mixed sex, and there's a bunch of females already holding in the tank. If you've been waiting to buy these because you want pairs now is the time.
Per usual, had a big guppy restock over the weekend. A few things that stood out include tequilas, green Moscow, red cobras, turquoise blue-tails, and from previous weeks super gold cobras and black Endler's.
Most of the weekend incoming was re-stocking things already on the list but I have new green scats at a pretty good size, blood parrots that are smaller than usual, and snow white crowntails. Or platinum crowntails. Or ivory crowntails.
Some fish that stood out in today's walk-through include ember tetras, emperor tetras, snakeskin barbs, green lantern platies, dawn platies, BB ornatus, livingstoni, figure-8 puffers, signifer rainbows, big Celebes rainbows, and orange von rios.
Please give a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,
