Hey Folks,
Gold roseline sharks are in stock! These came in last week but I completely missed them, thought they were DNR from our supplier. They look really good, and quite a bit better than my pictures show. FYI, they have been known to get darker as they age, but it's random. Most of them don't, but a small number will get dark pigment.
For new fish, I have new Sri Lanka and Bangkok stuff, and a few new Florida fish.
Best new guppies are the red Endler's. They're small, even for Endler's, but super, super bright. Ocean blue, lemon, and blue Moscows all look good too. And I still have some of the super gold cobras which are the shiniest guppy I've ever seen.
Local red glass barbs came in yesterday and they are even nicer than the ones I had last week. Almost all males, good size, and crazy bright. Black ruby barbs also came in. They're OK, far from coloring up but big enough to not look like tiger barbs.
A few other new items include 3" clown knives, assorted swords that aren't 100% female, featherfin rainbows, Turkana jewels, 5" albino rainbow shark, and leopard Ctenopomas. Should be restocked with a bunch of oscars later today.
A few highlights from today's walk-through include super gold cobra guppies, archerfish, way over list size 2-3" redtail cats, pacus, platinum green tiger barbs, peacock gudgeon gobies, red tiger platies, yellow calico platies, medium Goyder River rainbows, snow white socos, gold pristellas, 3" rainbow sharks, super-red bushynose, and electric blue acaras.
Syno petricolas came in late last week. They are tiny. Even for petricolas. They're otherwise nice, but size is really bad.
Platinum medakas look way better today then they did last week.
Please give a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Joe Hiduke Nautilus |

Elephant trunk snakes are back in stock. These are babies of the giant elephant trunks. One of the coolest snakes in the world, they are fully aquatic and unlike anything else. These are kind of touchy, but they come in in much better condition now that they're imported as babies. They acclimate well and almost always feed right away. Warm temperatures and soft acidic water seem to reduce the likelihood and severity of skin blisters.
Green vine snakes are another Indo import. These make amazing display animals. Far better than more desirable species like Chondros. These vine snakes are pretty active, and can even work in a big palidarium. If they were rodent-feeders they would be the perfect display snake. Unfortunately not. Generally voracious feeders, but only on geckos. Some other highlights on the herp list include tokay geckos, red-eye croc skinks, viper boas, albino and banana ball pythons (plus brown ball pythons), Calabaria, red blood pythons, and blue-tongue skinks.
