Hey Folks,
Spent the last few hours in a 'fun' Aquatic Invasive Species in Commerce workshop. Since it's fresh on my mind I'll take the opportunity to urge you all to make sure you are doing things right, and only supporting vendors who do things the right way. As I mentioned in this workshop, if I hypothetically screw up and send you a fish or crayfish you're not allowed to have, it's still not an invasive issue if it's in a glass box. It's only an issue if your customer dumps it in a ditch. So please make sure your customers know that they should never release non-native species.
On a closely related note, I have nice size redtail cats in this week. I constantly argue that redtail cats and pacus are not an invasive species issue anywhere but Florida. But it is an animal welfare issue, and I don't want to see redtail cats and pacus freezing to death in the wintertime. I'll continue to ask that if you're going to sell these fish than commit to take them back from your customers when they outgrow their tanks.
Courtesy of that lengthy meeting I'm running late, so the email may be a little short today.
Burmese tire track eels are back in stock. Nice size with a neat pattern. Electric blue jacks are back in stock and they are tiny, but they are super bright. A few other new imports include blue paradise, rhino gobies, a ton of new guppies, more royal clown knives, tiger botias, and some fancy bettas.
Got in a bunch of new Florida fish over the weekend. I finally have emerald rainbows in stock in both medium and large size. The mediums are nearly as big as the larges and a great value. I also have medium turquoise rainbows that look great. A lot bigger and brighter than the standard size. Pearl gouramis came in yesterday but they are really, really small. Under 2" and no color. Gold barbs are back in stock and smaller than the last batch but holding up much better. Albino bushynose aren't nice but they're the closest to acceptable of all the small bushynose plecos.
A few other things that stood out in today's walkthrough include Asian needle gar, Japan blue guppies, albino hoplo cats, new medium German blue rams, pearl danios, green sailfin mollies, XL assorted platies, gulper cats, red panda barbs, and acei cichlids. Gardneri killifish came in last week, and they're still looking solid today. They're small but the biggest males have some color.
Please give a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,

OB Jungle Hap Same as the red emps, these are a bit faded but heavily discounted and they'll color up again once the see something other than glass, a standpipe and the same half dozen bachelor tankmates. |

Your herp update is really brief because it's way later than I wanted this going out.
New whip scorpions are available. Also have some Isabel Island boas, one of the best looking high-contrast Candoia you can get.
The rest of this is my notes from last week. Nice Indo stuff, including viper boas, tree boas, mangrove monitors, and Halmahara blue-tongues. Also a ton of nice African stuff, including Calabar burrowing pythons, fire skinks, and a bunch of other cheap skinks.
As far as domestic stuff, blue samurai pac-man frogs are available for the first time in ages, and way cheaper than they were a few years back. Albino (and het) great plains rats, call kings, and Central American boas all look good too.
