Hey folks,
Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and got to stuff themselves full. I also hope that you are all too busy with sales at the moment to read this as hopefully it is a very busy and profitable Black Friday Weekend for all of you. We didn't get anything new in due to the holiday but because it was such a short week for shipping we still have almost everything from last week's email so we're featuring all of that again in case you missed it.
If your sales rep is Steven, he will be on vacation from the 1st through the 5th, all week for his Honeymoon. His office phone line is set to forward to Nick, so if you call like normal you will be taken care of. We will also be checking his Email throughout the day to get the emailed orders you send in. Please be patient with us, as Steven has a good chunk of the accounts for Nautilus so covering for him is going to mean the guys still in the office are going to be running ragged, and your emails or calls may not be returned promptly, but they will get returned.
We did update the list on Wednesday even though we're sending this email Friday when we are closed, so if you need an order this week this should be a much more accurate list than if we had just sent out last week's list again. We did run out of a couple of the more recent imported fish so those are removed, as well as a couple of the new items being added that came in last week. |

| XL Green Phantoms certainly deserve the name this time around. These are probably the biggest I've seen come through. Size is consistent as this individual is very representative of the group. Pretty limited numbers on these so don't delay on ordering some. |
| Butterfly Plecos Have also been on hiatus for quite some time and are back with a vengeance. Size is a little mixy but that's only because there are some monsters in the mix. Not a bad one in the bunch. |
| At a glance this might look like a common Pleco but these are actually Hypostomus sp. These are more like a Sailfin than a standard and therefore much nicer as adults. In addition to an exaggerated dorsal fin these display an almost symmetrical spotted pattern along the body. These spots develop a blueish hue to them as they mature. |
| Didn't realize how long it's been since we've had Colombian Zebra Plecos till I started writing this but it's been a hot minute as the kids say. Goes without saying as these have been sorely missed. These will probably be gone before I finish typing this but try ordering them anyway, it's worth a shot. |
| Orange Seam Plecos (not to be confused with the Gold Nugget variation) came in already displaying their almost honeycomb like pattern. The Orange coloration will become more prominent as they settle in. |
| Got in a large size of what we're calling a Striped Pike these are also known as the Gray Sausage Pike. Whatever you decide to call it this Lugubria species is similar to Freckled Pikes and grows to be rather large and aggressive as adults. No matter the name Pikes always sell very well with die hard hobbyists always on the look out for something different. |
| No Colombia shipment would be complete without Peacock Bass. Size is great and they'll be displaying their bands and brightly colored fins in no time. These really don't need to be hyped up as they are always in limited supply and high demand. |
| Red Phantom Tetras might be one of the most suitable of it's family for nano tanks. Unlike most other species in this genus these stay borderline tiny but turn ruby red once they mature. |
| Melini Cories are one of the "Bandit" types named after their black masking. Like most Colombia Cories these are always in super high demand and probably won't make it much past the weekend. |
| Can't remember the last time Concolor Cories were here. Haven't quite colored up yet but that won't take long. Not super contrasting with pattern like some other species but these have a remarkable beauty all their own. Once settled they have almost a half and coloration with and orange hue to the fins. |
| Gold Green Cories are back and just like the Punctatus these are one the sturdier import cories. Size is average but color is always great on these once they're acclimated. |
| May not be the most clever name anyone ever thought up but Transparent Knives are certainly deserving of it. This unique looking species is communal and can be kept in groups. |
| Peru Blue Tetras look to be getting deeper and deeper in color every day. These are nearly full grown and absolutely dwarf their far east raised counterparts. |
| Speaking of large the large Peru Bleeding Heart Tetras are shaping up to be some of the nicest I've seen. They're starting to develop a nice rich pink coloration throughout the body with blood red "hearts" really shining though. |
| The Julii Cories that came in the last Peru shipment are probably twenty percent bigger than the typical tank raised variety and equally if not nicer in overall appearance. |
| Lima Shovelnose came in huge and continue to grow. These are probable the biggest we've had come through here but even with that being said these are still much more manageable as adults than the more commonly available Tigers. |
| 4" Redtail Cats are back in stock this week. This is a perfect size as they are very manageable still and not so small where you have to keep schools of feeders on them at all times. |
| New Marble Moray Eels are just as big and just as nice as the last couple of batches. These are always a crowd pleaser for anyone looking for something a bit different. |
| Ran out of Vampire Swords at the beginning of the week so if you got scratched on them we got quite a few in on Tuesday so should be able to fill them this week. |
| Pretty sure the vendor made a mistake here as these are listed as 6-7cm Red & Black Orandas but most of them are much bigger than that. Regardless color is fantastic on these so that along with them being oversize makes them one of the best values this week here this week. |
| Got Pearlscales in a couple different sizes this week. Featured here are the 10-11cm. With their odd protruding scales appearance these have always been a favorite amongst Goldfish aficionados. And yes, that is a thing |
| This is a pic of the 5-6cm version of the Pearlscales. |
| The large assorted Rainbows have some absolute giants in the mix this week. This one wouldn't even fit in my hand. These are for sure show worthy display specimens. |
| Not nearly as big but just as impressive as the large assorted Rainbows are the Furcatus Rainbows. To be perfectly honest I'm not sure if I knew they could get this big. Now there certainly are average size ones in there but there are also some massive males in the mix like gigantic fella. |
| Redtail Blue Variatus are a new(ish) color morph that we haven't here before. They've been on the market sporadically but we're hoping this is one we'll be able to offer with some frequency. Pic doesn't do it justice as these guys have sky blue bodies with bright red tails. |
| Longfin Rosy Barbs got a restock this week and their fins are about as exaggerated as they get. People tend to be a little apprehensive when it comes to lf versions of Barbs due to their nippy reutation but just like the Tigers the longer fins on these tend to weight them down a bit not allowing them to chase down their tankmates. |
| Red Glass Barbs are back in full sing with a nice 50/50 male/female ratio. Doesn't really matter with this strain as both sexes are super bright and colorful. |
| Black Ruby Barbs keep coming in fairly mixy but in that mix you'll find some males already showing color. Once on some dark substrate these are gonna be awesome. |
| I know, out of all the fish we feature why put up a pic of a basic Silver Angel? Because they look great, that's why. Oversize and near perfect barring. Almost look like wild Scalare types. |
| Venezuelan Orange Cories, or whatever moniker they're on the list as, are starting to come in with a bit of size to them. Usually about the size of your pinky nail most of these are about an inch in total length. Regardless these are just like Green Neon Tetras in that they sell great on name alone. |
| Longfin Neons are running larger than average this week which is typical this time of year for a lot Tetras since the last month has been fairly slow. That being said Black Friday is often times the start of the busy season so as demand goes up size will go down so grab some now while they're still display tank worthy. |
| Think I made it nearly two weeks without putting up a pic of the Black Phantoms but I couldn't hold off any longer. One day the size is gonna drop on these but that's not today so don't wait around till it does. |
| Rosy Tetras are back for the first time in a couple of months. Often referred to as a "poor man's Candy Cane Tetra" these little guys not only are similar in appearance but actually have better contrast in the fins making them an excellent addition to any Tetra section. |
| Longfin White Blushers have an elegance about them while being one of the creepiest looking fish all at the same time. Something about being able to see the inner guts of a fish has always been a little unnerving but they sell out every time they're available so there's definitely a fan base out there for them. |
| Regular Von Rios tend to get overlooked ever since their "Orange" counterpart came on the market and that's a shame because I really do believe that as adults this is the better looking fish. |
| Red Eye Tetras are runnung huge this week. They may be a mostly silver fish but their bright red eyes and black marking really set them off. As water temps drop so will the size on a lot of the more common stock so load up while they're still big and bold. |
| Curviceps could fit either here or in the community section as they are technically a dwarf Cichlid and tend to be relatively docile. These hidden gems used to be far more common than they are these days and are always snapped up by hobbyists |
| Regular Firemouths have some very nicely colored oversized individuals in the mix but there is a bit of a size range as is depicted in the above photo. |
| Medium Red Spot Gold Severums continue to be one of the best looking fish here week in and week out. We also added an additional tank of them so hopefully we'll be able to increase the fill rate on these awesome gems. |
| Still have some medium Lyonsi available and they just keep getting better each and every day. It's uncommon Central/Southies that will grab the attention of you customers. |
| Found a handful of Striped Pike hanging around in one of our vats. They've definitely put some size on and they look absolutely perfect. |
| Got in more Maulana Bicolor Peacocks this week. Dollar for dollar this might be the best one in its class. Ton of color for not a ton of money. |
| This is just one example of some of the amazing fish that are in the Assorted Male Peacock mix this week. |
| Mentioned these at the top but got in a fresh batch of mixed Male Peacocks this week. These come from one our local vendors and the assortment never disappoints. |
| A lot of different species and color variants in the mix male peacocks this week. |
| There's never been a huge selection when it comes to Lake Victorians but the handful that are available tend to be pretty stunning so that could explain why Zebra Obliquedens have been such a staple for so long. |
| Got in a fresh batch of assorted regular Haps and as usual it does not disappoint. Even if you don't offer a ton of African Cichlids this is one you should absoultely be carrying. Ton of variety for a very low price tag. |
| Msobo Deeps are another one of those highly underrated Mbuna that I just don't understand. Males grow up to have one of the best purplish blue/black mottled colorations of any fish out there and the females are bright yellow. This is a must have for any Cichlid selection. |
| Large Assorted Mbuna are absolute monsters this week. So much so you would think this was the middle of the summer given the size. |
| Can't promise you'll get one of these in every batch but there are some gigantic Yellow Labs in the large assorted Mbuna mix this week. |
