Fish came back from Global Pet Expo, and we have a handful of extraordinarily nice Breeder-Sized Green Tiger barbs.  These are probably double the size of the next biggest ones I've ever seen come through.  Not many available, and it's first come first served.
    Hey Folks,

We brought back our booth fish from Global Pet Expo like we do every year, so we have some really nice big stuff that you can buy this week which are normally not available.  Plus some cool FL native collected fish that came in over the weekend!

Breeder sized Green Tiger Barbs (pictured above) are mind blowingly awesome.  It's easy to forget that when tiger barbs get big the males get bright red fins, and that shows up even better on the dark green background of the green version.  These are some real show-quality fish, and everybody that saw them at our booth at Global was asking where they can get some this size.  The reality is, the breeders never offer this for sale, they sell them to us as a favor to have nice stuff to show off at the Expo.  So this is likely your only chance to ever get these fish.  Very limited, order quick.  (they're on the "new fish" list).

Also back from the show, all-male LG rainbowfish!  We get asked all the time if we can sell males only, and the answer is actually yes, but we would have to order in males from the breeder.  We have a pretty good number of these large fish available for purchase now, and if they sell well this might be something we bring in and carry regularly going forward.  The mix contains, Parkinsoni, Emeralds, Goyder River, Yellows, Turquoise, Bleheri, and probably more I'm forgetting about.

What I'm personally the most excited to mention though this week are the fish I collected myself for us to sell.....Pygmy Sunfish and Least Killifish!   We get asked for my Pygmy Sunfish all the time, and i just honestly haven't been able to make it out to get any recently.  The weather has to be perfect, it has to have not rained recently and the water level has to be juuuust right, and the stars aligned this week so I have a pretty good quantity of each to offer.  The Pygmy Sunfish are PROBABLY mostly Everglades Pygmys, but might also be Okefenokee.  Honestly, I can't really tell those species apart, I'm collecting in the range where both are possible to encounter, and I don't care enough to get a jewelers loup to count the rays in the anal fin to ID them and separate them.  They're black fish with bright blue spots.    The other fish I added to the list are some Least Killifish, which are actually not a Killi species and are really a wild livebearer.  Those are very small, but eat flake food no problem and adapt great to aquarium life and make a great little breeding project for your fish nerd customers that have 20 tanks at home that are always looking for something unique.  Honestly, that's the clientele for both of these fish.

Ask your sales rep if you have any questions.

Pygmy Sunfish are available this week!  I haven't gone collecting these in a while, so they haven't been around, and this batch is exceptionally nice.  Probably the biggest average size (full grown adults) I've come across in years.  Picture taken 10 seconds after scooping them out of the ditch, so you can see what they look like when they settle.  Upon arrival, they'll be a pale brown color, but give them a day and the males will turn jet black with blueish green speckles all over.  ***You will need live baby brine or frozen/thawed baby brine to feed these guys.  They will not eat flake food***
Another Florida native I collected this past weekend for us, Least Killifish!  These are the smallest vertebrate animal in North America.  Full grown males are about a half inch long, and females max out at MAYBE an inch.  They are a livebearer, so can be bred like guppies.  The tiger stripes make them look really cool, and they even have an orange dorsal fin.  Very popular with hobbyists that breed fish at home.
The final FL Native..... Gold Spot Topminnow Killifish!   These are pretty rare, they are solitary in the wild so you have to track them down 1 by 1.  I've got I believe 18 of them to offer.    Fundulus Chrysotus.  These get a beautiful golden color when they mature with red tails.  As juveniles like they are now, they are brown body with golden speckles all over.  Very, very cool fish.
Another pic of the Jumbo Green Tigers in the tank.
Black Widow Frontosas are still here and looking as cute as ever.  These have been here about 3 weeks now and are holding up perfectly with zero issues.
Beautiful tankful of Exodon Paradoxus "Bucktooth Tetras" came back from Global and they're for sale now.  We had held back about 35 or so fish to display at the show.
Another fish coming back from Global that we're not sure we can always get in the future, Large-Sized Rainbowfish that are all males!   We have 40ish fish to sell.  Size is great, colors obviously are much better than regular or medium size, and the mix is a pretty good mix of at least 4-5 species.  Would make great display fish in your store
Velvet Swordtails came back in from a local Florida breeder, so now's your time to stock up!  The FL bred fish are SOOOOO much better than the imported Velvet swords.  These are truly a deep velvety red color, and are much more male-heavy than the imported swordtails as well.  I would say probably a third of these are males, verses the standard expectation of about 1/6 or 1/8 males on most of the imported swordtails.
GloFish® Cory Catfish are back this week, have all 3 colors ready for the assortment.  if you've been waiting on the Electric Green® to be back in stock, we should be able to fill them this week.
Large Tropheus Duboisi Maswas are back from the show and ready for sale as well!  Great opportunity to pick these up.  They're 3+ inches and looking absolutely incredible. Rarely available at this size.

No reptile update, so we left last week's list on this email for you.  Should hopefully be mostly the same.

Cobalt Blue Tarantula are adults and absolutely beautiful.  Keep in mind these can be lightning fast when they want to be, so not really a handling-spider, more of a display species.
Fat Tailed Geckos with Regen'ed tails were in stock last week and were very nice for the price.  They're gone now, but now you know for next time you see them on the list.  Fat Tail Geckos are like the cooler cousin of Leopard Geckos.  Equally hardy, great first time lizards.  They don't get as much love since they don't have all the crazy color morphs
