    News & New Items
    Hey folks,

Hope everyone is holding up well with this week's cold front tearing its way across the country. With that being said there are definitely going to be some shipping schedule challenges for next week depending on where you are located so be sure to get with your rep before placing your order. We will do everything we can do to accommodate everyone but there are most likely going to be flight delays and cancellations this weekend so we want to do everything in our power to avoid any issues.  As of right now we ARE NOT SHIPPING MONDAY for Tuesday arrival, and will be revisiting on Monday to see how things look for Tuesday pack.  Since it's still 4 days out as of right now, it's tough to be certain what the weather is going to do.  But the last thing we want to do is be sending fish to people that we know have a 90% chance of getting delayed in 5 degree weather and arriving all dead.

And now onto the fish. It may be god awful weather wise every where else in the country but thankfully that isn't the case here or in many countries where many of our tropical treasures come from. That being said lots of fun new items this week. Starting with Colombia we got in a bunch of much needed Cories this week including Metae, Melini and everyone's favorite dwarf, Habrosus. Got in another batch of Black Cucata Plecos. These came in for the first time a few months ago and they were a huge success. An Ancistrus species just like Bushynose Plecos these little guys flew out of here since you can never have enough clean up crew. Finally got restocked on small Royal Plecos and got probably the nicest batch of Colombian Zebra Plecos that I've seen in quite some time. And one very honorable mention goes out to the baby Silver Arowanas of which we still have available in limited numbers. Additionally we got restocks on Bleeding Heart Tetras, Exodons and Red Belly Pacu.

Got in some much needed restocks from the far east the week and not a moment too soon. As soon as fish come in they're practically on their way out. Just goes to show the busy season is here. Even though it's not new my favorite highlight for this segment has to be the mixed sex Congo Tetras. These are absolutely gigantic. Not sure how long they will continue to come in like this but I will say I am planning on snagging some to take to Global this year. Yes, they really are that nice. And speaking of far east raised Tetras we still have some outstanding Blues available this week. Not exactly a traditional schooler but that not withstanding these are super bright and won't be here much longer. But if you're in the market for something a bit more exotic we got in Marble Moray Eels. And speaking of brackish preferring species we got restocked on Bumble Bee Gobies for the first time in quite a while. And even though I just featured them last week we did get in another batch of Dwarf Pea Puffers this week. Never want to overlook one of the best selling little oddities in our hobby.

Running short on time so I'm just gonna do a quick rundown on all the Florida raised stuff I can think of. Veiltail Cherry Barbs are back for the first time in forever. Regular Rosy Barbs are amazing. Assorted Male Rainbows are one of the best values this week. Smokey Angels are back in stock. Best Swordtails are Velvet Tux and Marigold Wag. Regular Blue Acaras are some of the best I've seen. Restocked Geos this week include Heckelii, Steindachneri and Balzani. Large Fire Hap Ndiwe are available in limited numbers. Both albino and regular Hap Compressiceps are back. And for Mbuna Rustys, Acei and Chailosia Elongatus are the best bets. Stay warm and enjoy the high volume sales this week!

    Colombia
Metae Cories came in on this week's Colombia shipment. Commonly known as the Bandit Cory these are one of the most popular of the import species.
Melini Cories are very similar to the Metaes with the most notable difference being the hash markings on the body. Despite their similar appearance I recommend carrying both since you can never have too many Cories available for your customers.
Got in another batch of Habrosus Cories. This is the first time in the two years I've been here that we've been able to get them multiple weeks in a row. These are flying out of here especially since their Pygmy cousins haven't been around lately.
New small Royals are back but in relatively small numbers.
New Colombian Zebra Plecos have a ton of variation to them this week. Variations include very fine lines with bright gold to heavy barring mixed with brown and cream coloration.
Black Cucata Plecos are back. Had these a couple months ago and they sold out almost immediately. A Bushynose relative these guys grow to a similar size and also do a fantastic job at controlling algae. And the best part is they are VERY affordable.
Large wild bushynose plecos got restocked, and the size is as good as we could hope for on them.  The size for the price you get on these wild bushynose is infinitely better than we could ever offer on tank raised bushynose, so if you need big ones these are your best bet by far.
Exodons might be one of the best candidates for a species only display item. Their metallic green sheen accompanied by their reddish orange fins makes them one of the most attractive Characin species.
Red Belly Pacu.  I can't think of a worse aquarium fish....well, maybe Arapaima.... but you guys keep buying them so we keep bringing them in.  Just please make sure you're telling everyone that buys them from you that they get about 30 pounds and the size of a car tire.
Bleeding Heart Tetras are back but certainly won't be for long.  One of the most popular tetras, even though they're a pricier one.
Have a few (like 4 pieces) of wild Severums available this week. Came in as Curare Tiger but I believe the ones that are left are actually the Mouthbroother Severums, Heros Labirifer.  Equally cool.
Surprisingly we still have a fair number of baby Silver Arowanas available. Holding up well and being that these are the first of the season people are definitely looking for these.
    Asia Imports
The mixed sex Congo Tetras have become my new "Black Phantom" Tetra in that as long as they keep coming in awesome I'm going to mention them every single time. These are legit show fish. As a matter of fact as I'm writing this I've decided I'm taking a group of these to display at Global but I'll be sure to leave enough left over for everyone else to grab some of these giants.
Everyone's favorite creepy fish is back this week, Blind Cave Tetras. I mean seriously, they look like something out of a horror movie. And truth be told they can be a bit aggressive. I got attacked by a school of them while snorkeling through a series of sunken caves in Mexico. Sadly that's a true story.
Managed to find another vat of Blue Tetras this week so if you got scratched on them last week they should fill this week. As I mentioned last time these are tank raised from Indo but are some of the nicest I've seen come through here size is great and color is super bright.
Bobble heads are back! Ok, not exactly but that is what the Balloon Red Eye Tetras look like, little floating heads.
Red Panda Barbs could be the best looking Barb species as adults. These are right at the point where as soon as they're put over dark substrate they're gonna color up. Super bright red when on full display.
Blood Parrots are back after being gone for a couple of weeks. And even if you're like me and despise their very existence you know these sell incredibly well and are practically indestructible.
Electric Blue Rams are back and about as nice as the get. These look way better underwater but wanted to give everyone an idea of how big they are.
Black Widow Frontosas are showing some of the most intricate patterns I've seen on them at such a young age. These really stand out from across the room making them one of the most unique variants of the species.
Put a sample pic of the 4" Import Peacocks last week and they're still looking fantastic.  Have a couple dozen left.
BB Gobies are back this week. Selfishly I will say this is my favorite freshwater/brackish species of Goby out there. Was the first type I ever kept growing up and somehow even as a beginner I was able to these alive. Trick is to keep them in hard water (I didn't even put salt on them) and feed them very tine frozen foods such as baby brine and daphnia.
Unlike the afore mentioned Gobies the Dwarf Pea Puffers don't require nearly as hard of water nor do they want salt either, these are completely fresh. However they do enjoy frozen fair  as part of their diet but can handle things that are a bit meatier including bloodworms.
Got in another nuisance snail annihilator this week, Redtail Blue Botias. Not quite as aggressive as the Tiger Botia but just as good at eradicating unwanted molluscs
Marble Moray Eels are the closest thing people can get to a saltwater eel without having to go full marine. These do prefer brackish conditions but can hold up well so long as the water is hard and alkaline. Start with easy to catch live foods like ghost shrimp.

Veiltail Cherry Barbs are back for the first time I believe since last summer. This is another species that has been in recovery since hurricane Milton but looks like numbers might finally be coming back.
I mentioned these last week and they're still awesome so I'm mentioning them again this week. Probably the best looking Rosy Barbs I have ever seen. Huge with fantastic color and relatively male heavy.
Blue Paradise came back in this week at a very respectable size with nice color.
Found a handful of gorgeous Pearl Gouramis in the Large Assorted mix. Also saw some of the biggest Red Honeys in there as well. One of the best value buys this week
Another one that sees a lot of frequency in the email but with good reason, medium Bosemani Ranibows are one of the best looking freshwater fish in the world.
Not sure what to get Rainbow wise? Then look no further than the Assorted Males. Always a nice mix of species with plenty of color.
Smokey Angels are back in with availability this week. Arguably one of the better looking Florida raised varieties.
Medium Black German Rams are spectacular this week. Definitely worth the extra money and the regular size has been in short supply lately.
2" Bushynose are back but very limited.  These tend to sell out super fast due to their price being only slightly more than the smallest size bushynose.
    Cichlids
Regular Blue Acaras came in at fantastic size this week practically showing adult coloration. While the EB version is definitely a top seller I would argue that these definitely give them a run for their money.
New batch of Deppii are all over the map when it comes to size but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They are still listed as "regular" but there are some in the mix pushing almost 3".
Should have plenty of regular size (around 2") Heckelii to go around this week. Definitely not the easiest fish to photograph as it is challenging to capture all of the iridescence radiating from their metallic scales.
Medium Balzani are due in later this afternoon. One of the oddest looking Geos for sure but always a fan favorite with hobbyists.
Got some 4 inch Geo Steindachneri for the first time in a while and they're absolutely awesome!  The blue coloration is coming through nicely, and the photo doesnt capture it well but the front half and the fins are a nice yellowish color.
Medium Jacks are back!  Showing much more color already at this size than regular sized jacks do, and are quite inexpensive.  Should be easy to sell.
3" Red Devils are a nice mix of solids and pieds like this guy in the pic.
Not sure how but we got another batch of medium Red Head Tapajos in. This will not likey continue to be the case so I would definitely recommend grabbing as many of these best selling Geos as you can.
    Old World Cichlids
Large Fire Hap Ndiwe are back for the first time in months but in very limited numbers so act fast if you want to grab a couple.
Assorted Large Male Peacocks will almost certainly get a shout out every week. Never a shortage of absolute gems in the mix.
Regular Hap Compressiceps got a restock this week. Formerly known as the "Malawi Eye-Biter" they're not nearly as aggressive as their reputation would suggest. For regular size, this restock is very above average,
The Albino version of the previously mentioned Compressiceps is arguably even nicer than it's natural occurring counterpart. Lemon yellow body eventually accented by red fins really helps them stand out.
Even if you don't stock a ton of African Cichlids everyone should be carrying the mixes including the assorted Haps. Great splash of color for very little cost.
One of my favorites of the Elongatus complex, Chailosia, makes a triumphant return this week. We currently have mediums this week and they're already starting to show why they are one of the classic Mbunas.
This is from the last batch of large Chailosia Elongatus that we had a few months ago. We do NOT have this size in this week but just wanted to show what the mediums grow up to look like.
Oldie but a goodie Rustys are back in at a regular size this week. A traditional favorite dating all the way back to the 1980s. Bought my first one at a Noah's Ark Pet Center in 1987. Kudos to anyone that remembers that franchise lol.
Regular Acei are practically mediums this week. Super bright Royal Blue with yellow fins.
Got in 1" Synodontis Decorus are back for the first time in months. Despite their small size these are one of the most sought after Synos in the hobby.
    Discus
    Red Turquoise Discus 2"
    Red Turquoise 2"
Not all the Red Turquoise Discus are Red Turquoise. There are a few in the mix that are definitely different including this what looks to be Snakeskin.
Cobalt 2".  Please note:  These are NOT solid blue.
